A NOTE ABOUT CREAMS

Our inserts are made with a stretchable microfiber layer closest to the skin. This ensures optimal breathability and wicking of perspiration to keep you comfortable. The use of chamois creams is unnecessary with OmniForm chamois and in fact, we don't recommend using creams, balms, or butters of any kind with our inserts. These products decrease the ability of the insert to breathe and wick moisture by filling the open spaces. Chamois creams were designed to work with the leather materials that chamois were originally made of – materials that could harden, crack, and dry out. Creams were used to soften and lubricate the leather surface to combat friction during riding.

Modern day microfibers are completely different from those old style chamois. Our Giordana microfibers temporarily and lightly bond with the skin during the ride, so the chamois moves with you and no friction is present to cause irritation. In contrast, the use of creams creates a slippery surface, prevents the microfiber from bonding to the skin, and introduces friction. Repeated use of creams can soften the skin, increasing the likelihood of abrasion. For those riders who feel there may be times when a little ointment is beneficial, it should be used sparingly. Apply a thin layer to the skin (never directly to the chamois or fabric) and allow to dry completely before putting on the bibs or shorts.

CIRRO S

The Cirro S chamois is specifically designed for our top of the line men's bibs and shorts and features the Copa Mondiale, a recessed area at the front of the chamois. This sculpted area for the male anatomy provides comfort and support. The thickness of the Cirro S chamois varies to uniquely support each area of the body that touches the saddle and is 14mm at its maximum. The uppermost layer utilizes an all-way stretch microfiber that incorporates Aloe Vera that is permanently infused into the threads of the microfiber during the manufacturing process using Nano technology. The integrated Aloe cools, protects and is a natural defender against bacteria. Below this uppermost layer is a 3mm thick open cell foam that aids in ventilation and perspiration management by moving moisture away from the skin to the outside of the short where it can evaporate quickly. Underneath the upper layers is a highly ventilated 4mm thick, 120 density, open cell memory foam which is fused to the upper 3mm of foam. The final layer is a 7mm nonabsorbent memory foam that further aids in the movement of moisture to the outer most layer where it can evaporate.

CIRRO S-W

The Cirro insert has been specifically designed for Giordana's top-of-line women's bibs and shorts. The thickness of the Cirro varies to provide optimum padding where you need it, and not where you don't. The uppermost of four layers utilizes a special Nylon microfiber that incorporates Aloe Vera, which is permanently incorporated into the material at a nano level so it will not dissipate over time. The Aloe cools, protects, fights bacteria, and even heals the skin while the rider is in the saddle. Below this layer is a layer of expanded memory foam with a waffled texture that aids in ventilation and perspiration management. The foam is bonded on the bottom with an ultra-fine protective liner. Underneath the upper layer is a section of open cell padding cut in a unique smaller shape that protects and supports the rider at crucial points against the saddle.

CIRRO

The Cirro pad benefits from decades of testing and development, specifically to fit within Giordana men's bibs and shorts. The 3-layer pad features variable thickness and is 14mm at its maximum. The uppermost layer utilizes a special Nylon microfiber that incorporates Aloe Vera that is permanently infused into the threads during the manufacturing process so the benefits do not dissipate over time. The integrated Aloe cools, protects, naturally defends against bacteria, and even heals the skin while the rider is in the saddle.
